A.N: It might be just me, but there were some serious slashy undertones in ‘The Bone Yard’, and as I couldn’t find any Gibbs/Fornell I thought I'd write my own. Shamelessly OOC.
Jethro slumped against the wall, head in hands. A tear slipped through his fingers and splashed uselessly against the sawdust covered floor.
He had loved him for so long, a hidden love, a forbidden love and now he was gone, Jethro would never hold him, never show him his love.
He had waited too long and as he had feared had lost the man he loved.
His blood had run as ice as he watched Tobias lying cold and pale on that bare concrete floor.
Jethro slid down the wall and cried, cried as he had not cried for many a year.
His tears masked the sound of steps, padding slowly, purposely down the steps towards him.
It wasn’t until the intruder was standing before him that Jethro realised there was someone in the room with him.
Jethro slowly raised his head, to stare, bewildered at the 100% real, alive, breathing, wonderful form of Tobias Fornell.
Jethro’s breath hitched in his throat, his heart thumped and blood rushed in his ears. Finally he was able to croak out.
“Tobias?” Tobias held out his hand to help the disorientated agent to his feet.
The shock had started to lift and he began to realise how close his body was to Tobias’, only a few centimetres separated their bodies and Jethro could feel the heat of the other man so close to him.
Jethro raised his eyes and looked into Tobias’, he would not delay anymore.
He raised a shaking hand to Tobias’ face, resting lightly against his cheek, he lent in, careful to allow Tobias the chance to pull away and as their lips met he gasped, a sharp inhalation, before he deepened the kiss.
Tobias’ arm slid around his waist, the other tangled in his hair.
He pulled their bodies closer, until he could feel every breath, every beat of his heart. That blessed beat.
Jethro pulled back, out of breath.
“I’m not letting you go.” He growled. Tobias smiled.
